Thanks to all who attended Chew On Art

It was another great meeting of the minds  at Chew On Art. New artists participated including Joyleen Steinen, Shirley Belitsky and Carolyn LaMountain. The day was filled with color and spirits were high. Special thanks to the BYO GRILLE for serving a low priced buffet and providing the space for artists to display their work. The next Chew On Art is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 26 from 2pm to 4pm at the Malelani Cafe with prose, poetry and music.

Artist Joyleen Steinen displayed her fantasy art and jewelry.

The Art of Steve Kuzma

When I first met Steve, I was amazed at his daring to set up shop on the boardwalk in Ventnor. “Wow” I thought, “If there were more artists like Steve  in this city, we could really be onto something here.” After I got to know him, I was even more amazed at the sheer volume of work he was producing. Steve could easily fill a gallery ten times over, and the van he was driving was filled to overload with his prints and paintings.

Steve celebrates our town by capturing it on canvas and showing us all the beauty of the beach with colorful abstract work that is bright and filled with emotion. As I watched him sketching that day and interacting with the many passersby who stopped to chat, I knew that he was going to be recognized as one of the top artists in Ventnor.

Kickin’ in the New Year at Malelani Cafe

Our favorite punk rock accordionist MALCOLM TENT  helped to kick in the New Year Ventnor style when he played on Friday Night along with 1 ADAM 12 at the Malelani Cafe. It was a full house and the kind of high charged music event that the Cafe has become so well-known for.

When I’m thinking of you,
Wanna’ shove you,
From above you,
Love you!
